The source adds the following information: "To find the greenest cities for renters, we looked at the number of communities that advertise green amenities (things like LEED certification, solar panels, EV charging stations, smart thermostats, etc.) and then divided that number by the total count of properties in any given city. We excluded cities with fewer than 25 available properties at the time of this study."
