This survey represents the types of books parents mainly read to their children in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2017. By far the most popular is to read a mix of both classic and contemporary stories with a total of ** percent of parents claiming to do so, ** percent of the parents of children aged 12 to 16. ** percent of parents of children aged six to ** state that they mainly like to read classic fairy tales to their child and ** percent state that they mainly read new stories.
