Climbing season for Mt. Fuji varies:
2005 to 2013: July 1 to August 31.
2014 and 2015: July 1 to September 14.
2016 onwards: July 1 to September 10 (Yoshida Route); July 10 to September 10 (Subashiri Route, Gotenba Route, Fujinomiya Route) .
2020 season was closed due to COVID-19
Incomplete data during 2022 season due to technical issues with the measurement gadgets, affecting the Gotenba Route from August 12 to 14, and August 18 to 19, as well as on the Subashiri Route from July 10 to 14.

During the 2025 summer climbing season, around people climbed Mount Fuji in Japan. The figure increased compared to the previous season. Apart from the climbing season in summer, trails and huts are closed, and climbing the volcano is prohibited during the rest of the year. The trails to Mt. Fuji were closed during the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The peak of the archipelago
