 Per capita expenditure on fruit 
 
In 2021, the per capita spending on fresh fruit was *** euros – a decrease in comparison to the previous year. Fresh fruit expenditure made up the largest share of fruit expenditure in Belgium. In 2020, dried, preserved and frozen fruit combined accounted for less than ** percent of the total expenditure on fruit.
Organic fruit
 
Although organic food consumption is on the rise in Belgium, the amount of organic fruit consumed each year is still relatively low.
