According to the source, this data represents standard cubic meters (measured at 15°C and 1,013 mbar) where possible. Since the figures were derived directly from tons of oil equivalent using an average conversion factor, it does not necessarily equate with gas volumes expressed in specific national terms.
This statistic was compiled using several releases of the publication.
In 2005, approximately ****billion cubic meters of natural gas were consumed in Norway. Natural gas consumption remained at largely the same level over this period, and by 2019 had reached *** billion cubic meters. In 2024, Norway's production of natural gas fell to *** billion cubic meters.
