Supplementary notes
It is impossible to accurately measure how much money ransomware victims have paid to attackers. Few victims disclose whether they have paid the ransom. Attackers rarely disclose how much money they have made and payments are difficult to trace since each infection usually has a unique cryptocurrency wallet. Ransom payments are frequently siphoned through a chain of wallets and 鈥渢umbler鈥 services before the attackers cash out.
