Between 2008 and 2010, the total import value of fresh or dried fruit and nuts in the country decreased slightly. The export value of fresh or dried fruit and nuts from Norway fluctuated in the years from 2008 to 2018. By the end of this period, the country exported to a value of million Norwegian kroner. Two years earlier, the export value was at the highest level, peaking at million Norwegian kroner.
 Revenue of fruit sales
  
Most of the revenue of fruit sales was generated with the sales of bananas, melons, kiwi fruit, pineapples and grapes on the Norwegian market. In 2018, the total sales value of these soft tropical fruits amounted to around billion Norwegian kroner. It exceeded the revenue generated through berry sales, citrus fruit sales or pome fruit sales.
