September 2017
Germany
October 2015 to September 2017
**
*Unadjusted data (i.e. neither seasonally adjusted nor calendar adjusted data).
** The source states that about 125,000 firms and almost 40,000 consumers are currently surveyed every month.
The purpose of the consumer survey is twofold: first, to collect information on households' spending and savings intentions, and second, to assess their perception of the factors influencing these decisions. To this end, the questions are organized around four topics: the households' financial situation, the general economic situation, savings and intentions with regard to major purchases. The consumer survey is entirely qualitative.
