Total assets of the banking industry in Ireland 2008-2024
The value of assets in all banking institutions in Ireland fluctuated considerably between 2008 and 2024, with a slightly increasing trend in recent years. Starting from a value of roughly 1.6 trillion euros in 2008, the total assets of Irish banking corporations dropped to a value of 482 billion euros in 2017, the lowest value in the observed period. After that, banking assets started a gradual increase. In 2024, banking assets in Ireland amounted to roughly 752 billion euros.
