Distribution of the global supply of platinum group metals by source 2023
In 2023, the mine production of platinum group metals (PGMs) accounted for around 75 percent of the total global supply of PGMs. Autocatalyst scrap was also an important source in the global supply of PGMs, accounting for nearly one-quarter of the global supply that year.
