Between August 2020 and July 2021, the number of people expelled from Italy for terrorism slightly decreased. According to data, 71 individuals were forced to leave the country for terrorism-related charges.
Furthermore, the number of monitored foreign terrorist fighters (FTFs) in Italy increased. In particular, 144 individuals were monitored between August 2020 and July 2021, whereas in 2017 they amounted to 125.
