In 2021, apparent steel use in Romania had reached *** kilograms of finished steel products per capita, almost a four percent increase from the previous year. In the period of consideration, steel use per capita mainly followed an increasing trend, despite some decreases in 2012 and 2013, and peaked at *** kilograms in 2018. In the following two years, this value dropped. Even though it increased again in 2021, the figure is still well below the 2019 level.
