In Sweden, the number of students in upper secondary education decreased from 2011 to 2015, before starting to increase again. Whereas there were almost 364,000 registered students in upper secondary education in 2011, this had dropped below 315,000 in 2015. In 2021, it was at 356,000 students. Most of the students were between 16 and 18 years of age.
