According to the source, third country nationals are nationals with an other nationality than one of the EU member states, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Switzerland. This also includes stateless people.
A third country national who does not have the right to stay in the Netherlands receives a letter of compulsory return with a date when he or she has to leave the country, either voluntarily and by his/her own arrangement or with a forced remigration process. This statistic includes both those who have left on their own free will or with a forced remigration process. Third country nationals who have departed to an unknown destination are not included.
* The numbers for 2012 to 2014 are provisional and include those who have left the Netherlands as a result of the Dublin Regulation, which identifies the member state responsible for the examination of applications of asylum seekers.
