The number of automobile trips by Canadian residents returning from United States significantly declined in 2020, as result of the travel and border restrictions implemented to control the spread of the virus. In 2020, around **** million Canadians returned to Canada by automobile after spending one or more nights in the U.S., down from the previous year's total.
