This statistic shows the volume of wine consumed on the internal market in Spain from 2009/2010 to 2015/2016, by type. As can be seen, varietal wines were the only types of wine that maintained an upward trend throughout this period. Excluding retail, wine is also consumed by the industrial sector for other uses.
