Prices for liquefied natural gas (LNG) are highest in Asia, where the quarterly average for ** 2019 was **** U.S. dollars per million British thermal units. By comparison, Northwest Europe prices were **** U.S. dollars that same quarter. In the past seven years, prices have notably declined and are expected to fall further in the coming years, with transportation of LNG becoming cheaper.
