Alcohol consumption: not a concern in Spain

Spaniards may like their beer and wine, but they still only appear lower on the list of alcohol consumption in Europe, led by Latvia based on average pure alcohol intake. Normally, the average beer will contain between four and five percent of pure alcohol content or ethanol, standard wines around 12 percent, and distilled spirits about 40 percent.
