In 2022 and 2023, companies in the technology, media, and telecommunications sector (TMT) had the largest total volume of merger and acquisition (M&A) deals in the Baltic States economy. Among the different sectors of the economy, the TMT sector led the ranks at 26 percent of the Baltic M&A deal volume, followed by the energy, mining and utilities, at 16 percent of M&A deals. The top three is completed by the industrials and chemicals sector, at 12 percent of M&A deals in the Baltic States economy.
