This survey displays the percentage of U.S. adults that support organ donation for transplantation in 1993, 2005, and 2012. In 2005, 92.9 percent of adults strongly supported/supported organ donation. Organ donation can be given through both a deceased and living donor if blood and oxygen are flowing through the organs until the time of recovery to ensure viability. There are over 120,000 people in the country waiting for an organ transplant.
