Competitors on the market
Tesco’s store numbers have also stagnated in the past years. UK grocers face mounting pressure from the German discounters Lidl and Aldi, which are expanding theirÌýshare of the market. The companies are part of the two European market leaders in retail by turnover, Schwarz Gruppe and the Aldi brand.
