However, while the aforementioned magazines largely papered the German magazine landscape, almost all magazines have suffered circulation losses as consumers turn towards social media and the internet for updates on various topics that interest them. This decrease in purchasing is highlighted in the lower revenue of the magazine market in Germany.

Magazine flipping

The leading magazines in Germany were ADAC Motorwelt, Prisma, and Bild am Sonntag with TV guides, typically a popular choice, ranking a lot . However, another demographic for which there are magazines specifically produced is children. The future of this is uncertain as digital forms of media have become more commonly used as entertainment for kids.
