This statistic shows the percentage of British respondents that agreed that sharing customs and traditions is important for being “truly British” when asked in 1995, 2003 and 2013. The perceived importance of sharing customs and tradition has not changed over this time period. Most recently, in 2013, as was the case originally in 1995, half of those interviewed felt that such traditions were a core part of being British.
