Coal consumption in Kazakhstan amounted to 1.5 exajoules in 2024, a decrease of 1.3 percent when compared to the figure reported one year earlier. During the period in consideration, figures nearly doubled, increasing by 770 petajoules and peaking at 1.58 exajoules in 2012.
