Stouffer’s, the brand of frozen dinner favorites such as lasagna, Salisbury steak, and meatloaf, was the top selling single-serve frozen dinner brand in the United States in the twelve weeks ending February 22, 2026. The brand generated sales of over *** million dollars in the U.S., followed by Healthy Choice and Marie Callender’s, which had sales of *** million and *** million dollars, respectively. Stouffer’s also led the multi-serve (family-sized) segment, with *** million in sales in the same time period.
The Stouffer name has long been associated with the food business. Starting with a creamery company in 1898, the family would eventually open its first Stouffer’s restaurant in 1924 and began selling the frozen meals now associated with the brand in 1954. In 1973, Nestle acquired Stouffer’s.Ìý
Frozen dinners were one of the highest grossing frozen food category in 2025.ÌýThe most common reason for purchasing frozen meals according to consumers was convenience, but taste and flavor were strong factors as well.
