All gangs, whether or not they are involved in violent or illegal activity, are included. 鈥淎t school鈥 includes the school building, on school property, on a school bus, or going to and from school.
In 2022, around six percent of the students at public schools in the United States reported that gangs are a problem at their school. A further 10.2 percent of Black students reported that gangs were a problem at their school.
