According to a survey carried out in the United States in March 2026, almost ** percent of adults believed that vaccine risks are rare and the benefits of vaccination far outweigh any risks. A further ** percent of respondents felt that skeptics exaggerate vaccine risks and contribute to dangerous hesitancy. On the other hand, ** percent of adults thought enforcing vaccines was dangerous.

In 2025, the number of measles cases in the U.S. reached its highest annual figure since 1992.
