This statistic represents new union memberships as of April 2023, following the social movement in France against the pension reform.
It is noted that mainly the large union federations are gathering members, as both the CGT and the CFDT have each seen more than * people join since January. Other unions also see a higher number of memberships, for example FO and the CFTC.
For the unions, this represents a significant increase given their number of members.
