The Spain Company Ranking classifies companies according to their sales figures, which are obtained based on the individual financial statements filed by the company with the Mercantile Registry, with a closing date between July of the year under study and June of the following year (a 12-month period).
The INFORMA D&B Database, from which the data has been obtained, is fed by multiple sources of information, both public and private, such as the BORME (Official Gazette of the Mercantile Registry), official account filings, BOE (Official State Gazette), provincial and regional official gazettes, national and regional press, ad hoc investigations, and various publications.
This chart presents the ranking of Spanish provinces whose companies recorded the highest sales volume in 2022. In that year, the province of Madrid topped the list with sales exceeding *** billion euros.
