In 2024, Milan recorded the highest growth rate in the number of new companies, two percent more compared to 2023. Rieti and Rome, in Lazio, followed with around 1.8 percent. The number of enterprises in Naples grew by 1.6 percent. Overall, the national growth rate stood at 0.62 percent. Regional data shows that the largest number of firms in Italy were situated in the South and on the Islands.
