This statistic presents the number of passenger cars sold by the main brands present in the Republic of Ireland in 2015. The leading manufacturer was Volkswagen, which sold more than 15,000 cars that year, ahead of Toyota with more than 13,000 units sold. Volkswagen also held nearly 24 percent of the market share of new passenger car registrations in the European Union from January to August 2016.
