In this study conducted by antivirus creator Kaspersky, we can observe the ten countries in the world that experienced the highest number of cyberattacks during the first two quarters of 2022. The cyberattacks considered here are distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks. This type of attack aims to make a server inaccessible through various methods. The denial of service attacks counted here are only those carried out by botnets, that is, networks of hijacked computing devices.

The United States is far ahead with percent of the attacks carried out in the second quarter of 2022. Next are China and Germany. France is in fourth place, having suffered *** percent of the cyberattacks carried out in the second quarter of 2022. The top 10 countries in the world that experienced the highest number of cyberattacks in the second quarter of 2022 also include Canada, the United Kingdom, Brazil, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
