According to this study, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on attendance at this type of performing arts event are still evident. Moreover, in Castilla-La Mancha—a region where the highest proportion of its population attended the theater—the attendance percent did not even reach **%. However, in this same community, the figure was nearly ** percent in 2019, while in the Community of Madrid, which led the ranking then, it approached ** percent in 2019, compared to just **** percent recorded in 2022.
