The data presented above have been carefully collected and analyzed by our experts. However, HelloFresh does not guarantee the completeness of the data. The use of this data may therefore be subject to various interpretations by the user. To obtain the total number of restaurants, we used data from OpenStreetMaps, Yelp, and Tripadvisor. An average was calculated from this data to obtain an accurate number of restaurants. However, since new restaurants open almost every day or old ones must close, this figure is very dynamic and cannot claim absolute accuracy. The keyword "fast food" was used in the same way to determine the fast food restaurants in a city.

Data related to the number of fast food chains in a city were obtained via the "Store Finder" on official websites.

The fast food chains studied are: 1. McDonalds 2. Burger King 3. Kentucky Fried Chicken 4. Subway 5. Pizza Hut 6. Dominos Due to data availability, in some cases restaurants may have been counted twice instead of once, both when determining all fast food restaurants and when determining the number of fast food chains. This is because restaurants are not declared clearly enough on the portals used. However, this double counting does not have a significant impact on the relevance of the overall study.
