This statistic presents the number of monuments and sites declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Spain as of September 20, 2023, by autonomous community. After the declaration of the Cultural Landscape of Risco CaÃdo and Sacred Mountains of Gran Canaria as a World Heritage Site, the Canary Islands came to have four inscriptions, the same number as Catalonia. Castile and León and Andalusia, in any case, held the top two positions with eight and seven inscriptions on the UNESCO list, respectively.
