The majority of major EV battery manufacturers are located in Asia. The Chinese company Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) is by far the leader in the ranking, supplying over *** thousand megawatt hours (MWh) of batteries. BYD was the second largest manufacturer, producing just over *** thousand MWh of batteries.
