In 2024, Mexico recorded **** million international departures. Although this figure represents an increase of **** percent compared to the previous year, it still remains far from the levels observed up to 2019, some of which even surpassed the ** million mark.

Purchase Preferences

Among consumer preferences for choosing their trips, the growth of the online travel market stands out, not only in Mexico but also in Latin America. In recent years, the preferred channels for searching for trips in Mexico have shown a trend of displacing traditional travel agencies and even direct purchases from providers. This is because online operators and search engines have become favorites among Mexicans.

Most Used Online Purchase Platforms

Hotels and flights are the most booked travel products online in the Aztec country. According to a survey conducted by ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ between April 2024 and March 2025, the favorite websites among Mexicans for booking accommodation are Airbnb and Trivago. Meanwhile, among the platforms for booking vacation packages, Booking.com and Despegar stand out.
