In a survey conducted in Mexico in November 2020, the most common reason given by participants explaining why they do not have pets was not having the appropriate space. Forty-three percent of respondents without pets acknowledged this limitation as the main reason for not acquiring domestic animals. Additionally, more than **** said they did not have enough time to care for them. Another frequently mentioned reason was lack of interest.
