As a result of inflation, certain activities have experienced a significant price increase in Spain. For example, making a homemade sponge cake was **** percent more expensive in March 2023 than during the same month of the previous year. Other actions that also saw their prices increase significantly in the last twelve months were making a potato omelet for four and preparing a sweet breakfast at home—coffee with milk, orange juice, and pastries—with a price increase between ** percent and **** percent. But not all the news is bad. The monthly electricity bill was almost ** percent cheaper in March 2023 than a year ago, and filling the diesel tank cost **** percent less.
