In 2021, the Mexican agricultural sector suffered losses of approximately *** million U.S. dollars in foreign direct investment flow, reflecting the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in the following years, foreign investment in the sector has increased significantly. In fact, between January and September 2024 alone, FDI exceeded *** million U.S. dollars, the highest figure in the last decade.
