Additional information:
- Known cases: a set of criminal and administrative offenses that have been reported to the various Security Forces and Corps, either through a filed complaint or through police action taken motu proprio.

- Solved cases: a case is considered solved when the perpetrator is caught in the act; when the perpetrator, or one of the perpetrators, is fully identified without needing to be detained, even if they are on provisional release, at large, or deceased; when there is a verified confession, solid evidence, or a combination of both; or when the investigation reveals that no offense actually occurred.

- Investigated cases and arrests: a natural or legal person is considered investigated when they are attributed participation in a criminal act without restrictive liberty measures being taken against them.
An arrest goes further, involving the entire process that leads to the reading of rights to the individual, depriving them of liberty, and placing them at the judicial authority’s disposal for the attribution of committing a criminal offense.
