The report includes the 27 EU member countries, the five accession candidates (Republic of Macedonia, Turkey, Montenegro, Serbia, and Albania), the Turkish Cypriot community outside the governmental control of the Republic of Cyprus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Kosovo, Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
For the study, personal interviews were conducted in the homes of the sample members in the national language. Regarding data collection, CAPI systems (computer-assisted personal interviewing) were used in those countries where the technique was feasible.
