According to the special July 2021 Barometer, prepared by the Center for Sociological Research (CIS), the number of Spaniards who planned to go on summer vacation was directly proportional to the number of inhabitants in their municipality of residence. However, it can be observed that in almost all types of Spanish municipalities, the population that did not intend to take a vacation that summer was greater than the population that did. The exceptions were municipalities with more than one million inhabitants, as well as those with a population between * and ** inhabitants. However, in the case of the latter, the difference between those who decided to go on vacation and those who did not was less than five points.
