Number of jobs by industry sector and region in France in 2021
The Île-de-France region had the highest number of salaried jobs as of December 31, 2021. In this region, as in all of France, tertiary sector jobs dominate the activity sectors. However, some regions have maintained a proportionally larger industrial base, such as Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the French region with the most industrial jobs in the country. Nouvelle-Aquitaine was the region with the highest number of salaried agricultural jobs.
