The source adds the following information: "One third of soil pollution identified in Basol involves mineral-type hydrocarbons. The distribution of all contaminants in the soils or in the water tables here equals 100 percent. This distribution is defined in terms of percentages based on the sum of occurrences obtained by a unique combination between a pollutant and a site. The number of occurrences considered: 4,677 for soils (for 2,488 sites already evaluated at the beginning of 2012, or 60 percent of all sites listed in Basol), 2,833 for waters (for 1,445 sites already evaluated at the beginning of 2012, or 35 percent of all sites listed in Basol)."
