The source adds the following information: "Algorithm for defining the pathology: Individuals with a treatment duration of at least 45 days on hemodialysis or at least 1 day on peritoneal dialysis during year n, and/or individuals with at least 1 day of hemodialysis (and less than 45 days) during year n and a treatment duration of at least 45 days of hemodialysis or at least 1 day on peritoneal dialysis during year n-1. Kidney transplantation during the year takes precedence over kidney transplant follow-up, which takes precedence over chronic dialysis: a person under kidney transplant follow-up (with graft rejection), who restarts dialysis and then receives a kidney transplant, is considered transplanted during year n (and not under transplant follow-up nor dialyzed), due to the significant expenses related to kidney transplantation."
