This statistic presents the level of wine knowledge among the French between 2010 and 2022. While in 2022, ** percent of the French still have little knowledge of wine, this share has significantly declined compared to 2010. Conversely, the proportion of French people declaring themselves wine experts has quadrupled. Thus, since 2010, the level of expertise in wine has clearly increased, even as the annual wine consumption per capita in France has decreased by ** liters over ten years.
