As of January 2025, photo and video editor mobile apps powered by artificial intelligence generated around one-fifth of the total market revenue. AI beauty editors made up 14 percent of the revenue produced by AI consumer apps, while ChatGPT copycats made up 12 percent. The category of general assistants, which includes some of the most popular large language models such as ChatGPT and Claude, made up only eight percent of market revenue.Â
