In 2024, the multinational mining giant Anglo American contributed the largest share of Chile's mineral exploration budget, at 18.3 percent, which was a slight increase compared to the previous year. Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile (CODELCO) occupied the second largest contribution to the mineral exploration budget in Chile that year, accounting for 12.1 percent.
The total exploration budget of Chile's mining industry in 2024 amounted to 794 million U.S. dollars.
