In April 2025, there were approximately 3.7 million people receiving Personal Independence Payments (PIP) in England and Wales, the main disability benefit for adults of working age in the UK. As of this month, there were around 514,400 people aged between 60 and 64 receiving this benefit, the most of any age group that month.Â
